A letter of recommendation (LOR) is a personalised document in which the recommender talks about the potential, features and competences of the person whom he is recommending. It is usually written by your professor, teacher or employer recommending their students/employees for a particular college or university.
LOR is equally essential for college enrolments as the essay, resume and other documents of the application package. Usually, colleges ask you to submit at least 1-2 letters of recommendation from the people of your choice.
